The People Team at Varo is looking for a People Partner [HR Generalist] to join our team. This position will play a key role in supporting the employee experience and building the People infrastructure necessary to achieve Varo’s strategic objectives.
The People Partner will work closely primarily with our Operations group to make recommendations regarding people policy decisions and procedures, delivering projects that enable the organization to develop a workforce that can produce their best work.

What you’ll be doing
Acting as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for leaders and employees, while creating programs and strategies to improve leadership capability, team effectiveness, strategic insight, and business performance
Providing effective, people-focused support through day-to-day administration and facilitation of the employee lifecycle
Analyzing trends and metrics in partnership with the People Team to develop solutions, programs, standards, and policies
Providing guidance and partnership on new hires and employee movement within the Operations organization
Driving operational excellence of all HR processes to ensure delivery of desired results
Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues. Conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations
Partnering with the larger People team on special projects including Onboarding, HR platform implementation, and engagement programs
Interpreting and explaining human resources policies, programs, policies, standards, and regulations
Ensuring phenomenal customer service is provided to all people
Assisting and participating in employee recognition programs and cultural activities
Providing thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
Envisioning, driving, and leading opportunities to have Varo be an employer of choice and make Varo a great place to work
Working closely with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
You’ll bring the following required skills and experiences
BA/BS degree; MBA or MS preferred
3+ years of experience in HR or a related function
Experience with people programs, including Performance Management, Employee Relations, HR Compliance, and Leadership Development
Strong analytical and project management skills
Impeccable attention to detail, independence and follow through
Ability to influence across diverse stakeholder groups
Ability to think critically and anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they escalate
Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and development
