Position Summary:
Coordinates and leads the day-to-day activities for all RCA’s. Communicates company goals, safety practices, and expectations to team. Motivates team members. Provides help to other RCA staff,
including administering medications, assistance with shower and laundry duties, dietary assistance, light
Housekeeping, activity assistance and keeps management updated on team performance. Communicates concerns
to management and team members. Must be willing to be on rotating call.
Position Reports to: Director of Quality & Resident Care (D.O.N)
Qualifications:
• Graduate or high school or GED recipient
• Minimum of 2-3 year experience in a health care setting, CBRF setting with trainings preferred
• Training in medication administration
• Demonstrated ability to analyze an issue, identify options, and implement solutions
• Ability to work cooperatively with people in and outside of Resident Care Services department
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) and effectively interact with residents, their family members, supervisors, other staff members, and medical professionals
• Serve as a back-up RCA staff to provide care to residents as necessary
• Ability to respond positively to work direction and guidance from others
• Computer and software knowledge to effectively perform the tasks required (word processing, data entry)
• Detail oriented; ability to document accurately
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with adults with dementia and challenging behaviors.

Equipment Used:
• Office equipment: personal computers, printers, phone systems, fax machine, photocopier
• Resident Care Equipment: Medication/treatment cart, blood pressure gauge, stethoscope, sterile/non-sterile treatment supplies, adaptive devices, thermometers, wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen, and nebulizer equipment
Physical and Mental Requirements: Must have ability to sit, walk and stand routinely throughout the shift Must have the ability to occasionally lift /position and transfer residents. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must have the ability to deal effectively with the stress of managing multiple tasks and deal with elderly residents who may be confused or anxious.
Environmental Conditions: Performs duties with exposure to infectious or communicable diseases inherent to care of ill residents, and occasional exposure to loud or unpleasant voices due to unpredictable behavior of residents and seasonal exposure to high humidity due to temperature control of the facility.
