General Purpose and Scope of Position:
Responsible for managing and administering all health and welfare, retirement, and wellness programs. Contributing to the strategy and design of programs, this role includes a cost analysis of coverage, benchmarking, advising employees and leadership on the interpretation of policies, programs, and procedures, managing invoices, and overseeing COBRA and LOA administration as well as related communications for all programs. Serves as primary contact for all plan vendors and third-party administrators. Leading a small team, the individual will also work closely with payroll and business HR teams, while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations such as the DOL, ERISA, HIPAA, and FMLA.

Knowledge about pertinent federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, and DOL requirements
Strong Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS system skills

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Providing analytical and technical expertise in the delivery of the benefit programs
Effectively and quickly answering employee questions on benefits policies, programs, and procedures
Implementing benefit programs and running the benefit plan renewal process
Performing and overseeing plan audits and collecting benefit data from various resources
Managing the transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration
Quickly investigating discrepancies and providing information in non-routine situations
Documenting and maintaining administrative procedures for all benefit processes
Ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations including timeliness and accuracy of required filings
Overseeing the maintenance of employee benefits files with the vendors
Gathering employee data and overseeing the timely processing of monthly billings and administrative fees
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $98,800-$128,400. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
