The Global Business Services (GBS) program exists to deliver a centrally facilitated capability to evaluate, source, implement, and lead optimal service delivery models. The GBS approach is to balance dimensions of operational excellence, product, competitive advantage, customer experience, risk, cost, and alignment with ZG mission and values. GBS will facilitate the initial assessment, strategic design, sourcing, negotiations, implementation, and ongoing evaluation.
As a member of the GBS team, the GBS Vendor Engagement Manager will partner with operational leaders during AOP and other planning exercises to find opportunities and act as the point person to build and/or refine process flow documentation.
We will help define business objectives, identify waste and/or non-value add work in the processes, and recommend a service delivery model (i.e., Contract Labor, BPO / Outsourcing Services, Captive Service Center (CSC), Hybrid, etc.) to achieve business objectives.
We will collaborate with partner teams, including; Captive Service Center General Manager, Sourcing, Legal, Vendor Management, etc. to build and implement an optimum model by partnering with the GM to expand the capacity or capabilities of the CSC to support these business processes and/or identify BPO suppliers for the program, and lead ongoing relationships with existing outsourcing suppliers.
We will also provide oversight of BPO programs/portfolio and support multiple BPO practitioners and leaders across ZG’s network of suppliers by leading and monitoring BPO engagement, evaluating opportunities with new and existing vendor base.
Implement significant bodies of work evaluating and mapping processes and identifying quantitative / qualitative analysis needed to derive key insights and recognize improvement opportunities with little oversight
Find opportunities for improvements by following clear, coherent, and meticulous approach from problem statement to opportunity by applying operations problem solving methods
Use data analysis and extensive anecdotal feedback to assess the impact of new model on vendors, customers, and ZG
Maintain a cadence of proactive continuous improvement assessment
Builds credibility and trust with business partners and Senior Leaders to identify complexities and nuances of the business and its processes
Responsible for providing cross functional insight into engagements that require CSC involvement
Drive the vision, strategy and results around our efforts to engage vendors, thereby driving business growth and delivering results as define in the Statement of Work (SOW)
Drive contract negotiations and engagement of appropriate team members: Legal, Business Leaders, Captive Service Center leadership, Sourcing, FP&A, Workforce Management, Strategic Operations
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City the standard base pay range for this role is $91,600.00 – $146,400.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
7+ years of vendor engagement/management experience in multifaceted business process outsourcing and nearshore/offshore service centers
Possess a sharp intuition for business and the ability to optimally lead and motivate teams individually and through others
Proven understanding of outsourcing service agreements and statements of work and effectively negotiated contracts
Are experienced in anticipating and making trade-offs, balancing business needs while building operational excellence
Are an effective verbal, visual, and written communicator
Have outstanding time management, organization, and prioritization skills
Have a strong sense of ownership and drive
Experience in organizational change management disciplines a plus
Excellent process mapping, process improvement, and problem-solving skills, with the demonstrated ability to apply statistical and data-driven processes such as Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, Design thinking, Agile Methodology, etc.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience; MBA or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management highly desirable
