Summary: The Systems Support Associate is an entry-level position responsible for providing internal end users and vendors of BBB|NCTX with both operational and procedural support in a professional and timely manner when software, hardware and/or application difficulties are encountered. This position is also responsible for ongoing data quality management to ensure premium network and data platform performance. This position is heavily systems support focused, however; candidate must maintain flexibility to be able to support Sr. Financial Analyst position duties as a backup when needed.
Education/Experience: Associates Degree or at least two years of experience in hardware, software or network troubleshooting, or related training required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include but not limited to the following:
· Manage internal helpdesk ticket system as a first line contact and escalate when necessary
· Initiate and manage software and hardware trouble tickets as needed with appropriate vendors
· Manage equipment inventory to ensure records are up to date at all times
· Initial setup and relocation of user computer system and phones
· Assist IT Director with virus, malware and spyware removal as needed
· Clean up data entry errors in the BBB|NCTX database by doing continuous audits on data using various audit reports
· Innovate reports and processes to increase data quality within internal database
· Assist with Information Security training for all employees, produce reports and status for campaigns within KnowBe4 software
· Interact with vendors for database, building maintenance, and other IT functions as necessary
· Assist IT Director with large project implementation when needed
· Learn key functions of Sr. Financial Analyst to backup position when needed
· Learn BBB policies and procedures to assist with understanding all departmental processes
· Assist department analyst with electronic document retention as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
· Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities particularly in relation to information technology and database troubleshooting
· Must be detail oriented with strong multi-tasking abilities
· Excellent professional oral and written communication skills in order to provide efficient support to end users and vendors
· Must be able to read, analyze and interpret information in a variety formats and reports
· Must be able to effectively present information and statistics when needed
· Should be able to work with minimal direct supervision on tasks
· Must be able to interpret complex information to obtain solutions or statistics as well as recognize areas for procedural improvement
· Must be able to organize duties and establish priorities based on necessity and need of each situation
· Able to learn and support newly implemented and fast changing technologies
· Must be able to maintain a high level of discretion when dealing with financial and network security related information at all times, with no exceptions
· Candidate will need to be able to lift and carry equipment up to 30 lbs, bend, work in tight spaces, and connect/disconnect/move physical equipment on and under desks
Experience with the following is a plus but not required: VMWare, Hyper-V, Cisco Unified Communications Manager and related Cisco VoIP products, KnowBe4, QuickBooks, and PCI DSS
Candidate must meet all deadlines and work efficiently and effectively as well as be adaptable to change in policies and procedures, have ability to prioritize and work within deadlines.
