VIP Mortgage is seeking a Human Resources Admin Assistant to lead on the New Hire Onboarding and support the administrative functions of the human resources department. This is a great position for someone with a passion for human resources and a can-do-attitude. Establishing and maintaining employee files, benefits records and other employment records; assisting employees with work related questions and concerns; providing recruitment support and performing special projects, etc. The HR Assistant works closely with all members of the Human Resources team in the administration of all human resources programs.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for coordinating with hiring managers on all New Hire Onboarding for all entities.
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
Provides support to employees sending questions into the HR email.
Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to outside agencies or authorized persons.
Compiles and maintains employee personnel files.
Answers general employee questions that come to the corporate office.
Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential.
Enhances department and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred
2+ years professional HR experience preferred; mortgage industry experience a plus.
Multi-state human resources experience is preferred.
Demonstrates solid understanding of HR policies and procedures, compliance requirements and ever-changing state/federal laws.
Excellent administrative skills including verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent listening and assessment skills.
Must have and display good ethics and professionalism. Confidentiality is demanded.
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to be self-directed and be able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes and deadlines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to resolve conflicts using sound judgment and good business sense.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and HRIS software is a must!
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with opportunities for a hybrid work schedule.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, bending at the waist, and hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others.
