Description:
The Human Resource Manager will support the department by carrying out a variety of duties including hiring and interviewing staff, training/coaching, employee relations, performance management, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and prepare offer letters.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training and Supervisory skills training.
Assists with administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, exit interviews, org-charts, including entering data and running reports in Paychex/payroll.
Assists in drafting and updating company policies and provides guidance and interpretation.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and makes suggestions to improve.
Travels to the various locations. (Travel is required and could be up to 15-20 times per year, usually only 2 day trips with 3 days as max. most are pre-planned but could have last min trips at times with only a week notice)

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS/Paychex payroll systems.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
5 + years’ experience in progressive HR role.
SHRM-CP a plus.
