Position Description
Summary:The HRIS/benefits specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organizations HRIS system and assisting with the administration of all benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.Primary Job Responsibilities:
•Ensures accuracy of all benefits enrollment in HRIS to provide vendors with accurate information.
•Performs audits of benefits-related data.
•Assists employees with benefits questions, claim issues and status changes.
•Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on benefits enrollment, status changes and other benefit related inquiries.
•Review and process open enrollment/life status changes.
•Assists with new-hire orientation.
•Oversee and maintain optimal function of HRIS, which may include customization, improvements, and maintenance.
•Collaborates with the HR team to identify system improvements to gain efficiencies, functionality, and workflow; recommend solutions,
•Provide technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to the HR team
•Assist with managing permissions, access, and settings for HRIS users
•Create and/or assist with complex HR reports
•Assist with training new end users
•Audit all benefit additions/changes/terminations in HRIS and appropriate plan websites
•Audit all new hire set up including PTO in HRIS for accuracy and notifies appropriate individuals of issues for correction
•Audits monthly benefit billing to ensure all eligible employees are active and that terminated employees have been removed
•Adheres to the companys safety policies to create a safe work environment
•Other duties as assigned
