About the role
The People Team at Andela is looking for an experienced leader to craft our overall employee experience strategy, and create an inclusive remote work experience where all Andelans feel connected, valued, and are motivated to do their best work.
This role will be a key player on the People Leadership team and will collaborate with the different People Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to design and delivering a personalized and memorable employee experience that amplifies multiple touchpoints on the Andela employee journey, and boosts Andelans’ retention and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Design and implement an ongoing listening strategy and framework for touchpoints throughout the employee journey leveraging our internal engagement survey platform and other avenues. Translate the quantitative and qualitative data received into meaningful insights, recommendations, and actions with the support of the People and functional leadership teams.
Design, curate and support the delivery and/or enhancement of a growing range of initiatives, programs, platforms and events to surprise and delight Andelans throughout their employee journey while ensuring that employee experience delivered is consistently positive and ‘glocalized’ across demographics and cultures
Key priority areas include onboarding, remote work enablement, performance and talent development, culture and engagement, employee recognition, wellness, inclusive policy updates, and internal employee engagement events (both virtual and in-person) including monthly all-team meetings and global, regional or functional offsites
Partner with People Leadership and People Communications to improve and reinforce the employer brand internally by driving awareness and adoption of various perks, policies, and programs advised by and designed around the strategy
Maintain a real-time feedback loop on the impact and return on investment of our implemented programs and plans on the experience of our employees, and proactively implement change where necessary
Support People Leadership and People Business Partners with amplifying the employee experience around our learning, talent and growth ecosystem and applying data-driven techniques to distill strategic insights about capacity gaps and suggest intervention design in a way that drives the retention, improvement, and inclusion of a diverse and high-potential workforce
Requirements:
Validated experience designing and implementing employee experience strategies or HR initiatives, with proven success in improving employee retention. Prior experience in People Operations, Employee Relations, or generalist HR experience preferred
Passion for and track record of working across teams to build, operationalize, improve, and scale programs and processes. Experience working with global and/or distributed teams preferred
People-first approach with exceptional collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong executive presence and proven ability to build relationships and establish rapport with all levels of the organization
Ability to use excellent project management, organizational, decision-making and analytical skills, and influence without authority to translate visions/ideas into real impact at scale
Ability to create alignment between business goals, behaviors, and systems that drive performance and growth, and leverage People metrics to drive decisions, tell stories, and measure impact
Experience navigating and prioritizing multiple projects within an ambiguous or constantly evolving environment
