The Argonne CI Program’s mission is to detect and mitigate national security threats to the laboratory from foreign powers, intelligence services, and terrorist groups by aggressively investigating, disrupting, and mitigating all national security threats to the laboratories in a manner sensitive to their scientific mission and the nature of international research. The CI Program also comprehensively educates laboratory management and employees about counterintelligence risks, thereby enabling them to identify and avoid risk, and builds robust collaborative partnerships with U.S. Intelligence Community partners, other Federal agencies, and laboratory components to best identify and understand the national security threats facing the labs.
