The Senior HR Solutions Partner will support the Biopharmaceutical Research and Development Business (BP R&D) and will work with the Global HR Business Partners and HR Centers of Expertise (CoE) to deliver strong HR support. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the Global HRBPs to provide guidance and coaching to managers and HR colleagues on all HR policies, processes and programs.
The Senior HR Solutions Partner will undertake projects related to the BP R&D people strategy and be the lead solutions partner in support of identified annual people processes for BPR&D.
The role is based in Gaithersburg, US. You will report into the BP R&D HR Solutions Manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Leading or supporting organizational development, culture, and employee engagement strategies for the BP R&D functions
Support development and execution of key people projects for BP R&D
Deliver generalist HR support, acting as a key point-of-contact for provision of professional advice and support to a range of HR activities and programs
Provide generalist HR advice on a range of employment related matters (e.g., disciplinary and grievance cases, attendance management, parental leave) and escalate to Employee Practices team members or COEs as appropriate
Ensure flawless execution of key people processes across the business – leveraging workforce analytics and insights
Work collaboratively with colleagues across Global teams to improve the customer experience
Identify opportunities to improvements and simplifications and initiates resolution
Operational support for business change
Lead and support HRBP’s with Performance Development, Strategic Workforce Planning, Reward, Inclusion & Diversity, Enterprise Learning Solutions, and Talent & Development
Essential Requirements:
Must have previous relevant HR experience
Bachelor’s Degree
4 plus years of HR experience
Practical experience providing HR advice to colleagues
Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated capability to distill complex business needs into a client ready service
Ability to assess data workforce profiles and take the lead in building data stories that compel the business to take appropriate actions
Technical HR knowledge / skills associated one or more of the following disciplines – Talent Acquisition, Performance & Reward, Employee Relations, L&D, organizational change
Project management experience with experience in taking multiple layered project(s) to completion
Attention to detail; accomplishes tasks and processes accurately and completely
Comfortable working autonomously and with ambiguity
Advanced use Microsoft Office products is required (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Box)
Data assessment: to deliver maximum value/impact for the business, this individual should be able to clearly articulate the “so what” of the analysis and then utilize this information to provide recommendations to the business on the appropriate actions to take
Communication: for this role effective communication requires the individual to be able to engage with and influence stakeholders at different levels across the organization

Experience with talent management and succession planning
Possesses knowledge and understanding of HR systems (Workday, ServiceNow)
Experience in managing / interacting with sizeable internal customer base
General knowledge and understanding of AZ policies and procedures
