ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead efforts to provide straightforward, streamlined, personal and holistic customer service to outfitters regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules. Ensures that outfitters are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave. Provides direction for maintaining benefits and advises outfitters of opportunities to use their voluntary benefits in conjunction with their leave. 25%
Assists in the navigation of the leave administration (FMLA or Bass Pro Medical Leave), disability and/or accommodation processes, in coordination with our vendor partner and/or internal worker’s compensation team, from the outfitters initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. 20%
Maintains reasonable communication with outfitters on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work, relays communication between outfitters and their onsite HR / managers during leave. 10%
Advises managers and outfitters on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits. 10%
Oversees the return-to-work process for outfitters returning from FMLA, workers compensation, or other leave(s). 5%
Facilitates and monitors other leave requests, such as Military, Student or Personal leave. 5%
Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices. 10%
Preserves confidentiality of outfitter medical documentation and files. 5%
Maintains thorough knowledge of all benefit plans, plan documents and benefit procedures in addition to knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws. 10%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree in HR, business, or related field.
Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources.
Experience: two (2) years of experience in Human Resources.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Proficient in Workday HRIS (preferred).
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly sits and performs computer work.
Occasionally walks and stands.
Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
