SUMMARY: Manages and coordinates the driver recruiting functions of the Talent Acquisition Department. Position requires strong interviewing and interpersonal skills. This position requires a high level of confidentiality dealing with a variety of talent acquisition, recruitment and management priorities. A high level of accepted Human Resource practices and procedures will be utilized in this position. Must represent the Company in a positive image working with our employees, customers, and community in a safe and ethical manner to achieve financial success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Manages and provides direction the functional areas of the Talent Acquisition department. Manages the training and development of the recruiting staff. Provides the sourcing for passive and active candidates through various social networks, direct sourcing, networking, job fairs, on-line applicant tracking system and professional organizations. Provides a realistic overview of the Company using positive branding techniques to attract and retain talent. Responsibilities including but not limited to recruitment and employment in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and government regulations, personnel records, files, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, and compensation management. Develops and drives strategy for company recruitment initiatives as they pertain to driver recruitment. Oversees as well as participates in the recruiting, interviewing, testing, and selection of employees to fill vacancies. Assists in the development and implementation of Human Resource policies and procedures as it relates to recruitment and retention. Completes and disseminates recruiting reports in conformance with legislated and legal requirements or company requirements. Follows all workplace processes and standards, in support of the ISO-9001 Quality certification program.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will provide direct supervision to the Driver Recruiters and Support assigned to the driver recruiting function.
