The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Manager will work with the Global Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to build and drive the programs that support and sustain the organization’s global diversity, inclusivity, education, and retention efforts. This role works to foster an equitable and inclusive work environment for everyone, and ensures that diversity and inclusion considerations are incorporated into the workplace.
Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Manager will have demonstrated skill in addressing diversity, equity and inclusion work, and have the ability to assist with influencing equitable change and drive DEI programs and initiatives by building effective relationships throughout the organization. The DEI Manager will be a resource to our organizational Employee Resource Groups supporting their initiatives by helping them identify needs and develop strategies, initiatives and action plans, in partnership with their leadership. Our DEI Manager has an awareness and understanding of the external trends and issues impacting DEI and our work. This position will also maintain and lead community engagement DEI activities and events in the Kansas City area.
This position will be responsible for assisting the Global Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with the strategy, execution, development of metrics to assess meaningful impact in fulfillment of our commitment and ongoing journey of being an inclusive organization. The DEI Manager brings a contemporary point of view of equity and inclusion that understands both foundational barriers to social and economic equity focusing on a learning orientation and co-creative approach to designing and implementing strategies.
