That is why the HR Administrative Assistant is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in beginning a career in Human Resources, part-time college students, or even a semi-retired professional looking for a little extra work.
No experience in human resources is required. This is a great position for anyone with training or experience with project management, time management, scheduling, record-keeping, customer service, or event coordination, in any field, industry as a paid employee or unpaid volunteer,
Part of the work involves working with physical documents. This means some regular on-site work is required. However, this position offers flexible scheduling options for people juggling other commitments such as another part-time job, child care, or school.
Hours & Schedule:
Tentative Start Date: May 16, 2022
This is an hourly, part time position with no benefits. Hours will be an average of 20 hours per week. You may occasionally be asked to work additional hours with advanced notice. Schedule will be within Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.

You are very well organized and love to keep track of all the details, deadlines, and paperwork. In fact, you’ve been told many times that your organizational skills are your superpower!
You also have an ability to look forward and forecast upcoming needs from the people around you or employees, sometimes proactively seeing the needs of the team sometimes before they know to ask you for help.
About the Job:
If selected to join us, this position will give you a chance to learn and perform the following HR functions:
Assist with recruitment processes by preparing position announcements, advertisements, and interview packets
Prepare new hire and termination documents
Serve as receptionist for Human Resources Department, including answering multi-line telephone and greeting visitors when working in the office
Provide information to citizens, job applicants, and employees
Enter training records into the in human resources information system
Maintain filing and oversee records management
Use of Sharepoint for electronic filing and records organization
Assist with special projects as assigned and perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma and two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative experience. Relevant certification or higher education coursework in human resources desired.
Candidates with at least (5) years of administration assistance experience plus (2) years of college course work may qualify for a higher classification and a salary increase of up to $2/hour over published range.
