Develops strong and productive working relationships with departments and providers and becomes known as the “go to” person for HR support within the assigned areas. Serves as the main point of contact for all employee questions across HR service areas. Works across multiple department and functions, as appropriate, to solve Human Resources issues.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and recommends improvements to policies, programs, and procedures related to the effectiveness of the HR function.
Specific Duties
Coordinates the recruitment process by collaborating with department managers; maintaining a system for advertising vacant positions; and maintaining records of all solicited applicants. Arranges interviews and performs reference checks.
· Successfully on boards new staff for assigned areas while continuously improving the onboarding experience and talent acquisition process.
o Coordinates employee on-boarding program/activities (for example, drug testing, education verification, background checks and benefits enrollment), and new employee orientation.
· Updates and maintains employee 90 day and annual performance system.
· Creates and maintains and regularly audits all personnel recordkeeping files. Maintains and keeps compliant credentialing and privileging system according to DHC policy. Serves as contact for Credentials Verification with Cape Cod Healthcare.
· Educates employees about benefit programs; enrolls employees in benefits programs; plans and conducts benefits open enrollments; leads benefits program development.
· Facilitates and tracks all applications for unemployment, FMLA and COBRA.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Ensures compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.
