SUMMARY:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP provides comprehensive management, support, coordination, and guidance in the administration of the day-to-day operations and functions of the HR department and ensures the application of company policies, procedures, and practices contributing to the successful growth & development of the company. The HRBP is adapt as using HR software systems and working closely with all departments and levels of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Consults with management, providing HR guidance and assistance.
· Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
· Maintain organization compliance with all federal, state, and local employment-related laws.
· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
· Research specific state and/or local employment ordinances and regulations as required.
· Expert on Employee Handbook and all company HR policies and procedures.
· Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
· Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, training, mentoring, disciplinary actions).
· Assist managers with resolving employee relations issues and how to document disciplinary actions.
· Maintain detailed records related to grievances, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
· Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Interpret, assist, advise, and respond to queries from managers, employees, former employees, and other parties in a timely manner.
· Advise management on HR issues, investigate HR related problems, gather documentation, make recommendations, and resolve.
· Conduct research, investigate, gather, and organize data and statistical information.
· Manage sensitive and confidential matters, including personnel relations, organizational changes, and protecting the security of information, data, and files.
· Evaluate/recognize risks or potential liability issues and give recommendations for managing.
· Manage employee leave of absences and FMLA.
· Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of HRIS and Timeclock systems.
· Maintain and update HR files, records, forms, and databases while ensuing accuracy and confidentiality.
· Enter information into databases and systems, compile data and prepare reports, spreadsheets, memos, and other documents.
· Perform audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained properly.
· Participate in unemployment claim hearing when required.
· Assist will all areas of the HR department as needed or assigned.
· Complete HR Projects as assigned by the Chief Talent Officer or Director of Human Resources.
· Other duties as assigned as business needs arise.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
· Minimum 7 years HR experience, including resolving complex employee relations issues.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, Time Tracking, and other HR related systems.
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
· Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Professional in appearance and presentation and in a virtual workspace.
· Must be versed in FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, ADA, etc.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
