At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a LEAVE OF ABSENCE ADMINISTRATOR supporting GDIT employees, you will be trusted to help employees identify the best leave options for their personal needs. This position offers 100% telecommuting. In this role, a typical day will include:
Perform daily administration of all types of leave:
Analyze the particular leave requirements or leave request and determine the applicable leave type or and benefits eligibility.
Assist employees/managers with understanding the types of leave available to them and provide them with information on the leave application process. Handle any employee or manager questions/issues.
Send employees any pertinent policy information and ensure adherence to the appropriate policy guidelines.
Process leave events or changes in the HRM system (workday) and determine which leave status would apply to the employee’s specific situation. Also determine any downstream/benefits impact and ensure the employee and other internal POC’s are informed of that impact.
Administer paid leave benefits not coordinated through the leave vendors such as parental leave and emergency paid sick leave. Connect with the employee to determine eligibility and the applicable benefit amounts.
Serve as a liaison between employees, managers, internal POC’s and vendors, advising them on eligibility, claim updates, and ensuring that there are no gaps in communication or process that would have an impact on the employee or company.
Advise on complex situations for employees on leave. Provide information and situational analysis to internal POC’s such as legal, ER, WPA, etc.
Work with managers or HRBP’s as needed to provide an accounting of employees on leave by division, group, etc. and any applicable updates or information as part of the request.
Complete employer state-based compliance forms and leave application requests. Also ensure leave events and documents are filed appropriately and timely to comply with state and federal guidelines
Maintain internal records and other internal leave related documents
Advise employees and/or managers on the timecard completion process, entries, and assist with any timecard related issues that may occur.
Maintain current knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, all leave-related laws and regulations including state leave requirements, USERRA, FMLA and Worker’s Compensation.
Participate in special projects as needed and perform other job-related duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of work experience; in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, an additional 4 years of work experience required
Self-motivation
Ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality and trust
Excellent communication skills; both oral and written (working with vendors, employees, family members, GDIT management)
Preferred, but not required:
1+ years of relevant HR experience

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $22.00 – $33.00, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
