The Human Resources (HR) Manager at Good Day Farm in Oxford, MS aligns business objectives with employees and management for the designated facility. Serves as a consultant and business partner with management on HR issues, policies, and programs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Workforce Planning and Employment

• Implements the organization’s employment strategy helping management determine structure and position needs. Determines the impact on the budget.
• Updates job descriptions, creates new job descriptions, posts open positions, recruits, screens, hires and onboards employees. Processes new hire paperwork and inputs information in the HR Information System (HRIS.)
• Administers and reviews compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
• Manages transfers, promotions, demotions, terminations, and any other personnel changes. Processes these changes in the HRIS.
• Manages and tracks FMLA and ADA requests.
• Documents Worker’s Comp incidents and collaborates with Company Liability Insurance to bring Worker’s Compensation claims to a close.
• Completes employment and earning verifications and ensures proper documentation and compliance.
• Manages and monitors HR metrics such as turnover rates, EEO reporting and assists with employee incentive programs tracking.
• Manages and ensures I-9 compliance and tracks employment authorization.
• Participates in activities associated with the development and implementation of new systems, processes, and policies.
• Monitors, processes, and files the state badge annual renewals.

Workforce Relations and Development

• Provides support to employees on HR matters and ensures confidentiality of personnel information.
• Trains and assists with employee disciplinary actions, dispute resolutions and investigations. Administers and processes disciplinary actions.
• Manages unemployment claims, appeals and telephone hearings.
• Conducts HR trainings and maintains records of employee training.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field AND/OR 5 – 8 years HR experience with companies having +100 employees
• Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• All applicants must be 21 years or older.
• Each applicant must complete a State and Federal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call

• Oxford, MS 38655: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
