Responsibilities:

As an Operations Specialist (Travel, Training and Timekeeping) you would work directly with all GovTact team members in a variety of critical capacities that are outlined below. GovTact believes that building meaningful relationships with every member of our team is crucial to our company’s success and this can only be achieved through effective and consistent communication so the person who fills this role must first and foremost be an excellent communicator.

As an Operations Specialist (Travel, Training and Timekeeping), you would be responsible for assisting with GovTact travel both CONUS and OCONUS as well as managing GovTact’s Training portal and assisting with team member timekeeping compliance. Since GovTact team members are supporting a variety of mission partners all over the country you must be ready to quickly establish a process of communication that will ensure all team members feel as though GovTact is local no matter how far they may be from corporate headquarters.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Work closely with Senior Vice President (SVP) and Payroll/HR Specialist to assist with timekeeping and contract compliance
• Create travel itineraries for team members and assist with issues that may come up during company travel
• Support Operations team with traveler’s expense reports upon return from travel
• Assist Payroll/HR Specialist by monitoring daily timekeeping entries for team and completing weekly reconciliation of hours for all employees to ensure customer timekeeping deadlines are adhered to and all processing deadlines for company payroll are met. This includes proactive and frequent communication with GovTact team members.
• Work with Director of Compliance on maintaining the GovTact training tracking portal
• Initiate follow up with team members on their completion of required corporate trainings
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Small business experience
• Experience with customer and client engagement
• Ability to multitask and take initiative
• Must be proficient with utilizing Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively over the phone and in-person at all organizational levels
