The office medical biller participates in and supervises the completion and timely submission of all information necessary to complete the billing process.

Qualifications:

· Possesses a high school diploma.

· Proficient with numbers and accounting practices.

· Proficient with computers.

· Organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

· Submits OASIS information and all additional information to payer agencies and follows up if additional information is required for payment.

· Home Health Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid Billing.

· Assists in ensuring that client billing information is correct and current.

· Follows up to ensure past due accounts are collected.

· Gives proper statistical information to payroll personnel to ensure proper processing of employee payroll.

· Ensures confidentiality of all client personal information.

· Maintains all financial files in an organized manner.

· Is responsible for learning the client records in as much as necessary to retrieve information for billing, to compile the completed charts and to file new information as necessary.

· Assists in answering and directing telephone calls.

· May take on other miscellaneous office duties as assigned.

Operational Relationship

· Reports directly to the Administrator.

Functional Abilities:

· Must be able to read 12 point or larger type.

· Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in a manner understood by most persons.

· Must be able to lift, stand and stoop effectively so as to be able to perform the above listed responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
