Job Summary and Qualifications
The Position is a float position, between the three facilities Parkland, Plaistow and Portsmouth
The AEMT/EMT primary responsibility is responding to Intra/Inter-Facility Transports. The AEMT/EMT functions within the Emergency Department as a team with the Physicians, Registered Nurses (RN) and Physicians Assistants (PA). The AEMT/EMT will to adhere to the Hospital’s Standards of Patient Care to deliver safe, quality patient care in the Inter/Intra-Facility and Emergency Department settings. The AEMT/EMT performs all treatments and procedures within the scope of AEMT practice and as outlined in the Standards Manual, Protocols, Policies and Procedures and Practice Guidelines
This employee is expected to deliver patient care in a manner that is appropriate to patient’s age, physical ability, and intellectual development. The AEMT must demonstrate proficiency in assessment and treatment, and the ability to adapt care to meet the needs of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
