Overview
A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management is to ensure that a comprehensive set of high-quality data is available to run our business and meet client needs. The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Chief Data Office (CDO) was established in 2014 to define AWM’s core data strategy. This includes data for clients and accounts, products, securities prices, transactions and holdings, indexes, benchmarks, performance and analytics. The AWM CDO is positioned in the Asset & Wealth Management Operations division within AWM Center. The AWM CDO Operations team leads data health monitoring and issue resolution. We work with the AWM business and Firm wide CDO to analyze data, establish data quality standards and ensure data governance. We partner with the business and technology to enhance data systems and process solutions.
The Operations Associate in Market Data Analytics (MDA) will be a member of the extended AWM CDO team. The MDA team mission is to support the build-out and ongoing management of a centralized data repository for ESG, funds, corporate and instrument analytic data sourced from third party data vendors and internal sources. The Operations team is an active partner in data on-boarding, quality management, vendor management, data distribution and data governance activities.
The CDO operations data analyst will analyze business requirements to understand the business’ data needs and determine how to best functionally fulfill them. The member will provide input into definition, testing, data quality, and consumer support phases of Market Data Analytics platform. Additional oversight of the Indexes and Benchmarks Exchange (IBEX) program operations will be occasionally required.
Key responsibilities also include defining new data sets, testing data quality, working with consumers to define consumer critical data exceptions, monitoring and researching alerts identified by the MDA Data Quality management functions, coordinating issue resolution with vendors, and building expertise to serve as an in-region SME for data in MDA. Activities will include profiling new data sets, refining data quality parameters, analyzing data quality exceptions, escalating issues to vendors, tracking issue resolution, and coordinating impact advisories with users.
Candidates will be expected to possess and demonstrate solid experience Funds, ESG, Instrument or Party reference and analytics data. Solid analysis and SQL database skills required.
