VP, Brand Strategy & Activation

We are bolstering our team with a digitally savvy leader with a strong track record in brand/marketing strategy and activation. The ideal candidate must have at least 15-years of branding and multi-channel marketing agency experience with a proven track record of successfully and profitably acquiring, managing and growing client relationships, as well as building, guiding and nurturing internal teams.

Core Job Responsibilities:

Relationship Management

• Key consulting partner/advisor for senior-level client contacts
• Thorough understanding of clients’ business, products and services, as well as their business and marketing objectives, competitive landscape, and sales and marketing infrastructures
• Ability to leverage that knowledge to speak effectively and accurately with clients regarding KHJ’s strategic positioning and branding recommendations
• Provide ad hoc strategic guidance to clients, as well as constant input on progression of planned activities

Strategic Planning & Program Development

• Set strategic direction, brand positioning and message strategy for clients
• Set marketing objectives and strategy
• Develop, write and implement communication plans based on objectives and strategy
• Manage team in the implementation of communications plan, overseeing execution of media, creative, production, etc.

Program Implementation and Oversight

• Monitor progress against client schedules and budgets
• Oversee the tracking, measurement and optimization of programs

Operations Management

• Client Services team management, mentoring and development
• Steward of client budgets and agency forecasts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience as a senior marketing player; must have advertising/branding/digital agency experience
• Healthcare/Life Sciences experience required
• Sound strategic thinker
• Strong presentation and selling skills
• Outstanding team management, development, motivation, and leadership abilities
• Able to work in a hybrid work environment
• Reliable, accountable, and proactive – whether working onsite or remotely
• Experience with project management tools and platforms such as Workamajig Platinum a plus
