The law firm of Kubicki Draper is seeking an HR Generalist/Office Administrator to support the firm’s regional Human Resources (HR) efforts including recruitment, policy implementation, employee relations and general office administration duties as assigned. The position reports to the Director of Human Resources and is based in the firm’s Tampa location.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who is just as comfortable working autonomously as with a team. This candidate should be corporate culture-focused, bringing enthusiasm to the office and offering up new ideas and programs. Qualified candidate should be highly organized, motivated, tech savvy, and possess strong verbal and written communication. Prior experience working in a law firm STRONGLY preferred.

Requirements
Promotes a positive company culture and keep employees engaged by making the office a welcoming and collaborative place to work.
Assists with the recruiting and hiring process including actively seeking qualified candidates, processing applications, performing background screenings, testing, interviewing and reference validation.
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all firm employees; assists in the implementation of HR policies and procedures, in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources.
Handles employee relations, counseling and exit interviewing.
Investigates, mediates, and resolves employee grievances, disputes, and concerns.
Assists with employee orientation and on-boarding process.
Understands and adheres to best practices as defined by SHRM and Kubicki Draper.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Supervises and coordinates overall administrative and office activities.
Responsible for arranging internal office moves.
Participates as needed in special department projects.
Must be able to travel approximately 20-30% of the time visiting assigned regional offices throughout Florida. Most office visits involve same day travel, however occasional overnight trips may be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field.
SHRM and/or ALA Certification preferred.
Three to five years combined human resource and office management experience in a law office strongly preferred.
Exceptional people and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
Ability to take initiative, work independently (as well as with a team) and efficiently adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Must have excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
Possess a solid understanding of Federal, State and Local employment regulations.
Working knowledge of office processes, preferably in a law firm environment.
Experience with all phases of the interviewing process including job posting, resume review, conducting phone screening and scheduling interviews. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) a plus.
Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
