Responsibilities
Identifies data trends, analyze/interpret data and make recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
Creates and establishes shared processes and best practices. Prepares guidance and training materials for corrective action to support consistent application of enterprise policies and procedures.
Assist in the research, development and recommendation of HR Policies that support the company’s Human Resources and inclusion strategies. Assists in the development and delivers training to Talent teams, and business managers regarding effectively managing performance and attendance situations.
Oversees the distribution and administration of work. Monitors volume and redistributes work to staff as appropriate.
Ensures work is managed within service level agreement guidelines and customer service needs are consistently and effectively met.
Provides coaching and technical guidance to staff, and other supervisors with less experience, on complex matters including when to escalate to subject matter experts.
Ensures team receives initial and on-going technical and non-technical training to keep abreast of any changes to HR programs, policies, processes or department procedures, as well as to enhance the teams coaching and consultation skills.
Applies LM performance management program to include establishing and communicating objectives, providing on-going feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
Ensures all applicable federal and state regulations and LM policies are adhered to with regard HR processes. Ensures records retention guidelines are met.
Advocates continuous improvement principles by conducting huddles, performing process walks, encouraging team to bring forth issues/potential solutions, conducting root cause problem solving sessions, and updating Standard Work guides and other process tools/templates.
Acts as a liaison and contact with Corporate HR functional areas and Employee Relations to address legislative, corporate policy and HR program issues. Handles special projects as assigned which may include in-depth research and analysis to assess problems and/or offer solutions to meet a need.
Qualifications
Bachelor`s degree or equivalent experience required, in addition to 5 to 7 years of progressively more responsible Human Resources work, extensive knowledge of HR policy, theory and practice normally gained through progressive work experience
Prior experience acting in a lead capacity, to include providing technical guidance to others in a work group and providing training to more junior staff
Ability to assign, direct, and evaluate the work of staff members; prepare, interpret and apply procedures and policies; make sound judgments; and deal tactfully and effectively with employees and managers
Displays clear ability to engage and motivate others
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills required
Displays solid PC skills; can easily learn and maneuver around core systems applications
