The Associate Health Office (AHO) is a division of Human Resources. The office provides case management for Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Worker’s Compensation, and, American Disabilities (ADA) cases. In addition, the office responds to the occasional emergency medical needs of associates and triages them to the appropriate level of care. This position requires fielding phone calls and walk up questions with minimal clinical duties.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
RN or LPN – Alabama Board of Nursing
BLS CPR/AED Certification
Three years of registered nursing experience ideally with acute care
Strong communication skills, both orally and written, along with positive collaboration and excellent interpersonal skills
Experience demonstrating clinical reasoning, data analysis, problem-solving, critiquing, and independent decision-making skills
Experience demonstrating time management skills to work independently or as part of a team to achieve goals in an atmosphere committed to service quality
Knowledge of current medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology
High degree of problem solving and diagnostic skills to be used to determine the correct level of triage
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience and/or knowledge of FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and Workers’ Compensation preferred
Case management, occupational health, critical care/emergency, and/or medical/surgical experience preferred
Certified Case Manager preferred
Certified Ergonomics Specialist preferred
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
Answering phone calls and documenting the interaction
Assist team with employees that are on FMLA
-fielding questions
Serving as the onsite immediate healthcare resource for whatever might occur on the campus
