What’s the role?
The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Manager, and the primary role will be responsible for supporting the HR Team in performing administrative and HR Functions within the Human Resources Department.
Duties include:
Assist with guiding employees through various HR Processes such as; Onboarding, Benefit Enrollment, answering questions that they may have regarding terms and conditions of employment, Company Policies, HR Practices and procedures
May serve as a liasion between employees and insurance providers
Responsible for ensuring all HR Forms are current
Responsible for ensuring all Position Descriptions (PD) are current and each position within the company has a completed PD
Assists HR Manager and other HR team members in roll-out of initiatives, projects and assignments, e.g. facilitation and coordination of yearly benefit open enrollment process, supplying HR Data for audit requests
Assists with Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, including position budgeting, remuneration and market trend analysis
Assists in specialized tasks related to benefits administration, recruitment, HRIS, compensation, FLSA, FMLA and employee relations
Assists in managing FMLA, Sick Leave and workers comp related absences.
Assists in employee exit interviews
Responsible for HR Invoices
Responsible for monthly Accounting Accrual report

The specifics:
12-18 months relevant experience performing administrative assistant or HR Technician Functions
Broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities
Computer literacy – Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Critical thinking skills and problem solving skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters effectively and discreetly
Strong communication skills.
Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.
The Details:
Working on a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day at a remote campsite or up to 10 hours per day in our Fairbanks office, Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.
If employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, great Wi-Fi & cable TV. Cell service is available through Wi-Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
