Officengine is seeking an experienced & intellectually curious HR Manager – Payroll & Benefits to join our team and support the payroll, benefits & HR operations of our growing portfolio of clients. This role provides the curious, creative, entrepreneurial-minded candidate a significant opportunity to make an impact, not simply in shaping our clients’ operations but also in the development/refinement of a package of services we may offer future clients.
As a small team with a diverse client base, opportunities for learning and skills development present themselves daily. Adding to this, the legislative changes over the past ten years (ACA, Covid-19, Employee v. Independent contractors) and the HR Manager – Payroll & Benefits, will be busy researching, interpreting guidance, and in conjunction with Leadership, determining the necessity of disseminating this information and how processes/workflows may need adjustment. The ideal candidate will be a master communicator.
We’re eager to hear from team players who roll up their sleeves to get the job done. Who have experience mentoring and coaching a team. Someone kind, filled with empathy, honesty, and passion for their work.
Interact with clients on a cadence you define – to understand anticipated growth, pain points, and needs, recommending services as their business grows (required harassment training, sick time requirements, FMLA, 401k matching, FSA, etc)
Interact with our client’s employees – answering their questions, explaining tax forms, pay stubs, and guiding them through performing necessary actions within the HRIS/payroll system.
Oversee project implementations involving HR-related software/tools.
In time, hire, inspire, and coach a team of HR professionals
