SBH Fashion Hiring for Senior Director of Supply Chain and Operations at New York City Municipal Archives, NY Full Time

High Growth digitally native beauty brand is seeking a dedicated and organized Senior Director of Supply Chain to oversee the supply chain operations for their direct-to-consumer beauty brand. This person will be responsible for managing logistics, inventory, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries, efficient inventory management, and exceptional customer satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Logistics Management:

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with transportation partners to ensure on-time deliveries
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to optimize shipping methods and reduce expenses
• Manage carrier relationships and negotiate favorable shipping rates and terms
• Manage relationships with logistics partners, carriers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise

Inventory Control:

• Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliations
• Collaborate with the Demand Planning team to ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand
• Implement inventory management best practices to minimize stockout and overstock situations
• Ensure timely and accurate transaction input into NetSuite ERP system

Order Fulfillment:

• Oversee the order processing and fulfillment process to ensure timely and accurate order shipments
• Coordinate with Customer Service to address order-related inquiries and resolve any issues

Warehouse Operations:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of internal warehouse locations and 3PL partners, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of products
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in logistics and warehousing operations
• Utilize data and metrics to drive informed decision-making

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Lead and mentor the logistics team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve operational goals
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with other departments, including Product Development, Production, and Marketing, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with overall business objectives
• Provide input on product launches, promotions, and inventory planning

Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and warehousing activities
• Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management, with experience in a leadership and team management role
• Experience in the beauty industry or a related consumer goods sector is preferred
• Strong understanding of logistics processes, inventory management, and order fulfillment
• Proficiency in using Netsuite ERP, Shopify, and 3PL Partner warehouse management software
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing situations
• Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices in logistics and warehousing
