Shelters to Shutters is a national nonprofit organization that provides housing and employment opportunities for individuals and families who are situationally homeless due to a life-altering event such as job loss, domestic violence, medical emergency, or natural disaster. Shelters to Shutters partners with the multi-family housing industry to provide opportunities for employment along with on-site apartment housing to help families on the path to economic self-sufficiency. Shelters to Shutters currently operates in five metro areas: Washington DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, and Houston, with plans to expand to additional cities.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Program & Operations, the Training & Talent Development Manager supports Shelters to Shutters’ national objectives to certify our clients as job-ready, based on a combination of assessment, training, job readiness support, and mentoring. The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of related experience, will demonstrate enthusiasm for developing and growing new programs, and will have a genuine interest in helping people experiencing situational homelessness develop the skills necessary to be successful in work and in life. The position is 100% remote.

Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
