Stepan Company is seeking a Human Resources Director, US leading a team of HR professionals serving more than 1200 employees across 9 production/lab facilities, our global headquarters, and remote arrangements.
As a member of the HR Leadership Team, you will develop the Company’s People and Culture strategic plan as well as its annual operating plan. Your team will identify and select candidates with the skills and passion to deliver innovative solutions for a cleaner, healthier, more energy efficient world. Your team will also deliver resources and coach employees and leaders through on/cross/off-boarding, goal setting, performance management, development and succession planning. You will champion our Values and partner with individuals and teams to create safe spaces for exploration and learning, translate trends and data insights into impactful ways of working, and practice new approaches or leverage existing strengths to achieve high performance. We will support your success and development in multiple ways including collaboration with peers around the world and the Talent Management, Total Rewards, and HRIS Centers of Excellence.
Qualifications
At least 15 years of experience in Human Resources field.
Prior HR Business Partner management experience required.
Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations required.
Experience in Manufacturing setting required
Labor relations experience optional
Experience in a global organization a plus.

Education
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
