DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
2. Manage the onboarding process from start to finish; sending offer letters, background checks, paperwork, and completing I9 verification in a timely manner
3. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants relative to standard policies, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff
4. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
5. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
6. Provides clerical support to the HR department as needed
7. Coordinates the new hire process, distributes exit interviews
Perform wage statements and employment verification as requested
Receive, sort, and distribute mail to the proper Human Resources Representative
Perform other clerical duties as requested to support the Human Resource Department
OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work performed and composed of a variety of different tasks, calling for use of judgment, and compliance with policies and procedures. Must be both a team player and self-starter.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related
1 year of experience as an HR assistant, preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to fluidly operate a basic office telephone system with ease
Professional demeanor and versatile communication skills with all levels of both internal and external personnel
Proficiency in the use of MS Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Ability to proactively identify needs and deficiencies and provide creative solutions
Team player who can build and maintain professional relationships
Reliable and timely
