Position and Responsibilities
We’re seeking local candidates for an HR Director based at our downtown corporate office. As the company’s sole in-house HR practitioner, the HR Director designs, delivers, and administers Third Coast HR programs, policies, and services, and supports employees and managers in day-to-day HR needs. HR Director also advises and supports organizational leaders and managers in building and leading their teams to accomplish business objectives in our growth-oriented company.
Position responsibilities include employee relations, compensation, culture, engagement, onboarding, offboarding, recruiting, compliance, HRIS, LOAs, payroll, benefits, and 401(k) plan administration. Many HR services as payroll, benefits, and HRIS, are administered in partnership with or solely by PEO. PEO also provides HR advisory and project support for special projects such as program or policy development, performance appraisal, and benchmarking.
Schedule is a hybrid of corporate office and remote workdays. Occasional out-of-town travel is required.
Requirements
Degree with 10+ years of HR advisory and/or management experience in an independent role with proven increasing responsibilities. Energy industry experience supporting corporate and operations client groups highly desired. HR certification preferred. Extensive employee relations and compliance experience is essential. Valuable specialty expertise include compensation, 401(k) plan administration, disability/medical/leaves of absence, and Workers’ Compensation.
Position requires breadth and depth of HR knowledge, experience, attention to detail, adaptability, and willingness to handle a wide variety of responsibilities from annual merit and bonus planning to employment verifications. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to analyze complex HR issues, identify and appreciate nuances, formulate recommendations, and perform responsibilities with the diplomacy, discretion, integrity, and professionalism necessary in a senior HR role.
