Legal and Compliance – Enterprise
Role Purpose/ Summary:
The Sales Specialist is responsible for new business growth in existing accounts in his/her assigned account territory. The Sales Specialist carries a monthly and annual sales quota based on new business sales through targeted upsell and cross sell campaigns of Thomson Reuters Legal and Compliance products which includes the market leading HighQ, Legal Tracker, Thought Trace, Practical Law, Westlaw, Regulatory Intelligence and Compliance Learning services. We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate self-sufficient success and the ability to find, manage and close high-value deals.
The role will form part of the Corporate Europe business line, working with major Corporates, many of which are FTSE 250 and FTSE 500. These organisations have long term, significant relationships with Thomson Reuters, not just in our Legal and Compliance business, but also in our Tax and Accounting businesses which can be leveraged. The role will be office based, with significant face to face client interaction expected driving new business revenue growth.
About The Role
Manage a territory covering a specific sector, which includes a portfolio of existing customers, focusing on the Thomson Reuters Legal and Compliance portfolio of products
- Drive new business from targeted outbound activity, networking and referrals
- Build a strong sales pipeline to give 3x coverage to annual target
- Consistently overachieve monthly and annual quota through effectively managing pipeline, prioritising the right deals and creating urgency to buy. Strong metric & KPI driven sales responsibility
- Feedback valuable market and product intelligence to our Product and Proposition teams
- Develop and maintain territory plans
- Working in Salesforce CRM environment throughout deal progression
- Reporting, analysis and meeting involvement as required by Sales Leadership team
- Actively engage in the sales coaching process, partnering well with managers and your peers to share ideas and learn from each other.
- Accurately, and in a timely manner, log all activities and customer contacts in Salesforce CRM.
- Pursue individualized development to improve performance not only in your current role, but for future career opportunities within Thomson Reuters.
About You
Experience and success working in a targeted and KPI driven sales environment
- Experience of all elements of sales process, client management and CRM tools
- Strong sales presentation and proposal building skills
- Customer centric focus
- Proven negotiator with C Suite, with strong opportunity qualification & client needs analysis skills
- Proven success of lead generation, pipeline development, up selling and cross selling within complex, online content and/or software products
- Experience of successfully managing complex accounts/client relationships
- Ability to navigate large organisations
- Ability to build internal network and manage multiple internal stakeholders to reach successful outcomes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated & driven
- Excellent face to face presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of selling to Legal and Compliance roles
- Salesforce.com familiarity
