Duties:
The Human Resources job family performs human resource assignments of a varied nature, requiring a full working knowledge of human resource practices and the exercise of professional judgment within the framework of broad guidelines, to include compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, workforce restructuring, and related areas
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs professional level support activities in a specialized area or one or more functional areas of human resources.
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge in particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments.
Plans and assigns personnel for given projects or tasks. Reviews progress and evaluates results.
Provides staff consulting support in the conception and implementation of new human resources programs.
Serves as liaison between UCOR and Corporate Amentum for staffing and recruitment activities
Provides oversight and assistance in the management of employee performance improvement initiatives
Assists in the administration of UCOR’s Workplace Substance Abuse program,
Leads HR-related internal investigations
Develops recommended courses of action to meet company objectives.
Conducts studies to determine feasibility, cost benefits, and potential human resources program applications.
Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures. Recommends changes in procedures.
Prepares reports in conformance with legal requirements or organization needs.
May act as a lead or mentor to other HR employees
Job-Related Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience
12+ years specialized professional HR experience.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant HR Certification preferred
Experience in conducting HR related internal investigations
Experience in staffing & recruitment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a cross functional project work environment
Prior UCOR or Corporate Amentum work experience, preferred
Working knowledge and practical experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
