Simplify Compliance is looking for instructors to facilitate both in-person and virtual courses that are two or three days in length and cover a variety of human capital, legal, and compliance topics. The instructor’s responsibility is to deliver Simplify Compliance’s off-the-shelf curriculum, actively manage a learner-centric environment, and share his/her subject matter expertise and experience with participants. It’s critical that the instructor be knowledgeable in the subject, but still provide learners with an experience to truly understand the regulations and know how they apply in the workplace. This is a remote position that requires a minimum of 2-6 days of travel per month to teach.
Simplify Compliance equip leaders and practitioners with actionable frameworks that focus on learning transfer and support on-the-job application, enabling professionals to gain critical skills, solve real-world business challenges, and truly understand the critical laws and compliance regulations. Simplify Compliance offers several certification programs with a focus primarily in ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA laws and compliance regulations as well as certification programs that harness best practices, proven models, and practical tools to develop and deliver collaborative, case-based learning that builds strategic perspective focused on human capital strategies such as workforce planning, coaching, employee engagement, succession planning, leadership development, among other topics.
We offer in-person and online classes to meet the specific needs of our members. Our human capital training courses are also tailored and delivered as on-site corporate training or licensed as an enterprise train-the-trainer program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work closely with Simplify Compliance to ensure a world-class learning experience.
· Complete all required administrative tasks related to opening and managing the course.
· Adhere to course design and Facilitator Guide, ensuring delivery of all content in the course as intended by Simplify Compliance Learning.
· Facilitate in both virtual and in-person environments and use the appropriate tools, activities, and methodologies to ensure a highly interactive, practical experience.
· Use effective questioning techniques to assess progress, elicit reactions, and confirm understanding.
· Shape learner experience through in class responses.
· Encourage participation by creating a safe environment.
· Make content come alive through engagement and mastery of knowledge.
· Be comfortable facilitating discussions, answering questions, and consulting on human capital issues.
· Effectively navigate variability in audience skills, industry representation, class size, and class modality.
· Be client-oriented and focused on meeting the needs of learners and Simplify Compliance customers.
Requirements/Skills:
· Must be willing and able to travel and conduct a minimum of 2-6 training days per month.
· Flexibility with scheduling to allow for changes in class schedules based on participant numbers.
· Experience conducting virtual training with platform such as Zoom.
· Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Education and/or Experience:
· 10+ years delivering classroom training.
· 5+ years in the Human Resources, Learning and Development, Talent Management, Employment Law, Legal, or Compliance industries is preferred.
· Degree in Law, Human Resources, Training and Development, Instructional Technology, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Adult Learning or related field.
