Description:
This position is broken down into three (3) major job functions: Payroll, Onboarding, Benefits Payroll – Ensures accurate and timely processing of multi-company weekly payrolls in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as appropriate federal and state regulations. – Provides a high level of customer service to internal customers by promptly responding to employees? payroll questions and resolving any errors in a timely fashion – Reviews, process, and audits timesheets, ensuring completion for all employees – Ensures that prevailing wage jobs are paid correctly and that fringe benefits are within compliance – Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management of actions needed – Posts and reconciles payroll to the General ledger and to job costing system – Processes reimbursements, per diems, and vehicle allowance and manages payroll deductions – Processes certified payroll reports – Reconciles and tracks paid time off (PTO) requests and accruals – Enters employee updates in the system, such as personal information changes, rate changes, benefit/deduction changes, terminations, etc. – Understands internal payroll processes and identifies opportunities for improvement. – Generates and analyzes payroll reports as needed – Ensure that payroll related invoices are submitted for payment in a timely manner – Processes employee bonuses – Completes I-29 reports on time – The Payroll software is (ComputerEase) ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Onboarding – Works closely with lease labor companies to provide job information including work location, contact, and job requirements – Makes sure that any required training is scheduled (ie orientation, OSHA-10, etc) – Reviews employee benefits information – Ensures that all new hire paperwork is completed in a timely manner and that it is sent to the correct person – If applicable, gets new hire set up with computer, phone, business cards, etc. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Compensation & Benefits – Knowledgeable and can answer questions about compensation and all employee benefits – Contacts PEO as needed – Ensures that employee benefits issues/concerns are resolved in a timely manner – Assists with open enrollment – As necessary, handles unemployment and workers compensation

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
BA/BS Preferred. PHR/SPHR Certification a plus 3-5 years of experience required. Construction industry experience is preferred. (Prevailing Wages/Job Costs) – Knowledge of State and Federal laws, regulations and requirements related to HR including ERISA, EEO, LOA, ADA, Workers Compensation, COBRA, and Wage & Hour – Intermediate level of computer skills, including Microsoft Office – Good verbal and written communication skills – Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage deadlines. – Organized and detail orientated (This is a big one) Monday – Friday(Jeans Friday): 8:00am – 5:00pm (1 hour lunch) – Possible OT but very rare occurrences
