Position Description:

We are looking for an HR Service Delivery Manager who will lead the department’s HR Service Delivery team with these values in mind.
In this role, you will serve as a member of the SHR leadership team and be responsible for the management of all HR operations for 20 supported departments. You will supervise 3 Senior HR Business Partners and 2 HR Analysts who perform strategic, technical, and transactional duties involved in ensuring the effective operation of the Human Resources department.

Job Responsibilities:
Here’s more of what you’ll be doing:
- Acting as the primary resource and escalation point for Senior HR Business Partners and customers on complex employee relations matters or concerns
- Assessing current processes and identifying areas for improvement to increase efficiency and ensure best HR practices
- Lead professional development and succession planning initiatives for the team
- Lead projects and provide strategic HR expertise to the HR Director on special projects and department initiatives
- Presenting to the Executive team and Mayor’s Office on HR-related matters as needed

- Providing coaching to executives, including those of different racial, cultural, and demographic backgrounds

- Change management
- Fostering and developing respectful and collaborative relationships with people at all levels of an organization
- Labor relations and working in a government setting
The ability to:

- Act as a trusted partner and consult on HR-related matters

- Communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels
- Quickly switch gears when emergent issues arise
Additional Information:
This position is classified as a Manager 2, Exempt and is exempt from the Civil Service System. This position reports to the HR Director for Service Delivery.
This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Employees will be expected to be in-office twice a week. Individual schedules will be based on agreement between the employee and their supervisor.
