Wage Range: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00/Year

Job Summary:The HR Support Specialist position will assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, maintains the employee database, and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices and will be responsible for managing all stages of the recruiting process as well as the administration of onboarding and scheduling of new hire orientation. You will be responsible for job descriptions, job listings, applicant screenings, and scheduling interviews.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality relating to files containing personal identifying information
Identify qualified candidates for current & future vacancies
Create and update job descriptions based on internal needs, industry knowledge, and best practices
Create job postings and advertisements on various hiring sites
Screen applicants and create shortlisted candidates
Schedule interviews and design interview questions and other materials
Create onboarding schedules for new employees, leading the sessions that relate to company onboarding
Assist with various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
Assist benefits and new hire orientations and explain the benefits self-enrollment system.
Create and maintain new hire records within all applicable systems ensuring all proper compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
Assist with Short Term Disability and FLMA claims with a third-party administrator. Follow up on claims.
Assist the HR manager in obtaining statistics and information in the renewal process of any health, life, and retirement plans that benefit the company.
Prepare and maintain weekly employee reports, and new-hire reports. Maintain and update company organizational charts, phone directory, and other requested reports as needed.
Assist HR manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of employee benefits and labor laws.
The successful candidate must have the ability and confidence to take initiative and exercise sound business judgment and maintain discretion and confidentiality of personal and propriety information.
Proven work experience as an HR Recruiter, HR Specialist or relevant role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Knowledge or current and anticipate recruitment techniques and strategies.
Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in Recruiting and/or HR support.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
