KAA Federal is known for supporting the federal government for more than 35 years and is well known for providing human resource, financial management, and acquisition services to civilian agencies.
We are seeking an HR Assistant to support our client in Washington, DC. This position is full time and onsite. Please note: the successful candidate will provide support remotely until the building is reopened following the pandemic. Additionally, client may continue to authorize working remotely on a part time basis, even after building access restrictions are lifted.
Position Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will provide support to the HR Specialists in the following areas including, but not limited to:
Requirements and Skills
The successful candidate will possess the following competencies:
· Minimum of 3-4 years of experience performing clerical or HR assistant work
· Experience calculating and inputting Service Computation Dates (SCDs)
· Thorough knowledge of administrative principles and practices.
· Proficiency using the Department of Interior’s Federal Personnel Payroll System (FPPS).
· Experience using the Electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF).
· Experience using USA Staffing 2.0 (most recent version) or equivalent.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Attention to detail, particularly pertaining to data entry, updating, and validation.
· Minimum 4 years of related experience in the federal sector.
· Knowledge of and experience in coding/processing a variety of personnel actions (accessions, promotions, reassignments, change-to-lower grade, etc.) as outlined in the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions, and the staffing/recruitment process.
· Experience with USA Staffing or equivalent.
· Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite (most recent version and all preceding versions), to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to organization and prioritize tasks with attention to detail.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
