Job duties consist of:
Spend 25% of time on the floor to be visible and interactive in order to know what is going on and to be able to regularly “check the pulse” of the workplace.
Lead investigations and resolution of employee relations issues.
Work directly with site managers and supervisors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on employee relations matters.
Work with managers to identify staffing needs & ensure adequate staffing to meet volume projections.
Partner with talent acquisition team to schedule interviews, conduct interviews, and assist with sending out offer or decline letters to all applicants.
Serve as local contact for employee benefits information and assist new hires with enrolling in benefits. Act as liaison between employees and corporate benefits administrator.
Develop, facilitate, and implement staffing strategies & plans to ensure the right people are in the right positions with the necessary skills to do the job.
Obtain and retain competent, empowered, motivated workforce.
Track staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, compensation, promotions, etc.
Effectively utilize the Kronos system to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data and information Payroll and Benefits.
Supervise activities relating to the administration of payroll and employee benefit programs.
Supervisory Skills training and various compliance training. One on one mentoring with Supervisors to improve skills.
California HR certification strongly preferred (PHRca or SHRM CP preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in HR and 3+ HR Generalist or 1+ years of HR Management experience in California.
Minimum 5 year experience in the HR field
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PC literate, with ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrate integrity, flexibility, sound judgment, strong intuitive skills, and be results driven.
We have two available positions:
Rialto- Bilingual Spanish preferred, M-F but on busy occasions may be asked to work Sat and/or Sun. This person will work on payroll and create employee engagement programs.
Ontario- Must have experience working with unions, flexible to sometimes work a 3rd shift if there is a need, payroll experience and create employee engagement programs.
