Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Coordinates job board/social media postings, and represents the company at job fairs and with external recruiters.
Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Performs new employee orientations.
Helps payroll with semi-monthly timecard reviews.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports.
Implements recognition programs.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, or Equivalent Experience.
At least two years of human resource experience preferred.
SHRM-CP a plus.
