Wood is currently seeking applicants for an exciting, hands-on leadership opportunity within Consulting Americas as a Regional Staffing Manager to help shape the future of our business. The Regional Staffing Manager will play a key role in supporting the growth of the Consulting business across the Americas region, building relationships within the operational and functional leadership teams to improve technical resource forecasting, deployment and utilization, technical competency assessment, and help improve career opportunities for our employees.

Job Objectives
The role of the Regional Staffing Manager is to enable the optimisation of project staffing requirements across the Consulting Business Unit within their region in order to support successful delivery of projects.
This role is part of the Consulting staffing function and requires the leader to support and manage at a regional level a fit for purpose staffing system underpinned by effective processes and tools which will allow small, medium, and large-scale projects with multi-disciplined teams to be effectively resourced throughout their life cycles.
The staffing sub function is fundamental to the successful delivery of the new Consulting Operating Model and impacts not only on the direct project staffing requirements (and hence project delivery success) but also impacts effective utilization (and hence profitability), employee engagement and retention, and effectiveness of leaders (reducing the staffing challenge for them).
The role will report into the Global Staffing Director and will have a regional, fit for purpose sized staffing team to execute the day-to-day regional staffing activities including coordinating between project management teams, and technical delivery teams. The leader will be required to provide clear insights to Consulting senior leaders within their region in terms of staffing progress and performance, and to manage associated risks.
Key Accountability & Responsibilities:
The Regional Staffing Manager is required to oversee staffing for small scale as well as large scale and highly complex projects in both familiar and unfamiliar sectors. They are responsible for all aspects of project staffing within the region.
Their responsibilities include the development of an effective staffing system (working with the Global Staffing Director, supporting resource pool development, coordinating resource availability including competency across BGs, managing effective use of the GEC in Chennai, building a strong relationship across the BGs and being able to provide and obtain technical and SME support, and leading a standardised growth focused approach to workforce planning to meet budget expectations.
The Regional Staffing Manager may have a team of up to 5 direct reports once the model is fully implemented.

The Regional Staffing Manager has the autonomy to complete their duties as required and defined by the Global Staffing Director. Where issues or risks are identified outside of the permitted tolerances, they will be expected to escalate to the Global Staffing Director. Additionally, they must operate within the delegation of authority parameters as defined in the Wood procedures, where a decision exceeds this, the appropriate escalation is required. The role is aligned with the ELT-3 leadership line and it’s respective decision-making authority
