Indeed seeks a Benefits Specialist who will be responsible for duties in support of the Indeed benefit programs in the AMER region. This position will be partnering with managers and employees to provide Human Resources benefits consultation and support on HR initiatives in the areas of benefits and retirement.
Responsibilities:
Partner with various internal resources and functions, such as human resource business partners, HR technology team, payroll, accounting, legal, HR operations, diversity, inclusion & belonging, and talent acquisition to deliver best in class benefit administration
Define and maintain internal processes for benefits and retirement administration
Provide project assistance under the guidance of the leadership within the Benefits Team
Conduct retirement and benefits-related analysis, including withdrawal of contributions, and deferred retirement
Manage retirement plans including coordination of compliance, plan design, and administration
Maintain employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential
Provide support for Workday including, but not limited to researching and resolving benefit related issues, recommending solutions and/or alternate methods to ensure effective benefit operations
Evaluate proposed employee benefit contracts by studying provisions and estimate impact
Recommend employee benefit programs by examining employee understanding and interests, costs, regulatory requirements, and competitive advantage
Determine employee benefits practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact
Liaising with the financial department to provide verified and compiled data for the administration of benefits
Ensuring retirement plans are administered in accordance with company guidelines and labor law regulations
Work directly with employees, vendors and HR to answer questions, assist with enrollments, and offer general guidance on Indeed benefits and retirement plans
Assist in analyzing employee survey and feedback data and implementing solutions to help with engagement
Liaison with broker benefit and retirement vendors to coordinate onboarding, plan queries, exits, and general administration
Serve as the lead for employee questions during annual enrollment, manage integration updates with benefit partners, coordinate and lead employee information sessions and training sessions for HR and benefit partners
Coordinate and facilitate 401(k) committee meetings
Who You Are
Qualifications
5+ years Human Resources administration experience, including experience with benefit plan management and retirement plan support; strong influence, project management, and customer service skills
Must possess a continuous improvement mindset: identify, recommend, and improve current processes
Good technical skills and understanding HRIS, testing, and file interfaces
Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
High-level proficiency with Excel (e. g., v-lookups, pivot tables, if/then formulas)
Strong proficiency and knowledge of Workday HRIS (benefits administration tool)

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin 60,000 – 80,000 USD per year
NYC Metro Area 64,000 – 85,000 USD per year
